8 named "Asta" in Sanskrit words that meant to be "Infinity". 

The Balinese belief is to have an "Infinity of Happiness in live" throughout this Home Building Architecture.

So these Harmony Architecture named "Asta Kosala-kosali" or the "Eight in Balance". As in Chinese the word "Yi. And Yang".

I've introduce You all before at the Highest Priest house about this concept upon Purifications Ritual presentations.

The 8 is also the form of the "Diamond" cut as in the form of our Hands upon "Hugging".

Means "We care".

So, the 8 is representing that eight directions of the compass i.e. North-South, East-West, Southeast-Northwest, Southwest-Northeast.

Total 8.

We do believe as well that the Almighty God as His manifestations would guard us, the People amongst all the 8th directions. 

Which is why we build the Kitchen by the South as the Lord of Fire or Creator is manifest and guard us from the South.

So, the other buildings were also indicates the God's Dwelling Places as we are living unite with the Gods' Spirits.

So, north building is for the Elderly, the middle is considered Bale Gede as the Sacred building, the West as the Living Room, the East or Northeast as the Family temple that believe a holy place.

And have some empty space or Spice Garden as the Balinese "Pharmacy" and/or as the "Green Space at home-land to keep the Harmony living in between Human and Enviroment, Human and Human (that is Asta Kosala-kosali architecture) and Harmony living among Human with our God and Goddesses' as well as the spirits of our anchestors.

So, welcome HOME Bali. The island of the Gods.
