August New Tables: Jakarta, Bali, Bandung

As traffic density in Jakarta has been going back to normal, starting this week, the Jakarta government has re-imposed the odd-even traffic policy that had been temporarily canceled since the pandemic broke on March. Many, however, feared that re-imposing the policy too fast can trigger new infection clusters on public transports.

From Bali, around four thousand travelers reportedly arrived in the island last Friday, the first day it reopened for domestic tourists, the Jakarta Post reports. But before rushing in to book a Bali flight, make sure you know the guidelines that you need to follow! This includes PCR-based swab test or Rapid Test (before the trip or upon arrival in Bali) and following all the 'new normal' regulations.

Speaking of exploration, don't let the pandemic restrict your tastebuds' culinary cravings; save a (socially distanced) spot at these new restaurants in Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali  to savor new flavors and new ambiance you've been coveting all summer. But don't forget, be sure to adhere to the recommended health protocols.  One of our favorite french restaurants in Jakarta, AMUZ Gourmet, has come up with a brand new project: Burger Reinterpretation for you to experience 'fine dining between the buns', with 9+ wagyu patty, no less.

If you're looking for something more mimosa friendly, here is our list of brunch places in Bandung that you should check out, whether you're more into a hearty continental brunch, dim sum, Indonesian classics, or a little bit of everything? Bandung has always got you covered ;)

And before I sign off, we have also compiled a list of Yogyakarta resorts and villas for you to distance yourself from the bustling crowd.

Stay happy and stay safe!

Cheers,
